सालैः तालैः तमालैः च कर्णिकारैः च पुष्पितैः ।
जातरूपमयैः दिव्यैः शोभते सूर्य सन्निभैः ॥ ॥४-४०-५६॥
Sālaiḥ tālaiḥ tamālaiḥ ca karṇikāraiḥ ca puṣpitaiḥ । Jātarūpamayaiḥ divyaiḥ śobhate sūrya sannibhaiḥ ॥ ॥4-40-56॥
Translation
It is adorned with flowering Sala, Tala, Tamala, and Karnikara trees. All of them are golden, divine, and shine with the brilliance of the sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह पर्वत साल, ताल, तमाल और कर्णिकार के पुष्पित वृक्षों से सुशोभित है। वे सभी वृक्ष स्वर्णमय हैं, दिव्य हैं और सूर्य के समान चमकते हैं।
English Commentary
The flora of the Sunrise Mountain mirrors its geological composition. While familiar species like Sala and Tamala are listed to ground the description in reality, their composition is metaphysical—they are golden and shine like the sun (Surya sannibhaih). This creates an image of a radiant ecosystem where matter acts like light. It suggests that in the presence of the source of cosmic light (the Sun), all biological forms transcend their earthly limitations and become bodies of light and gold.

उदय पर्वत पर स्थित वनस्पति भी सामान्य नहीं है। यहाँ साल, ताल और तमाल जैसे वृक्षों का उल्लेख है, जो भारत में पाए जाते हैं, लेकिन इस दिव्य पर्वत पर ये वृक्ष 'जातरूपमयैः' (सोने के बने हुए) हैं। 'सूर्य सन्निभैः' का अर्थ है कि वे सूर्य जैसी आभा वाले हैं। यह वर्णन एक ऐसे वातावरण का निर्माण करता है जहाँ सब कुछ प्रकाशमय है। चूँकि यह सूर्य का निवास स्थान है, इसलिए यहाँ की प्रकृति ने सूर्य के गुण (तेज और स्वर्ण वर्ण) ग्रहण कर लिए हैं।
