निदेश वर्तिनः सर्वे सर्वे गुरु हिते स्थिताः ।
अभिप्रेतम् अनुष्ठातुम् तव शक्ष्यन्ति अरिंदम ॥ ॥४-४०-६॥
nideśa vartinaḥ sarve sarve guru hite sthitāḥ |
abhipretam anuṣṭhātum tava śakṣyanti arindama ॥4-40-6॥
Translation
O Arindama (Destroyer of Foes), all these Vanaras are obedient to the command and established in the welfare of their master. They are capable of executing whatever task you desire.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे अरिंदम (शत्रुदमन)! ये सभी वानर आपकी आज्ञा के अधीन हैं और अपने गुरु (स्वामी) के हित में तत्पर हैं। ये आपकी इच्छानुसार कार्य करने में पूर्णतः सक्षम हैं।
English Commentary
Sugriva highlights the discipline and dedication of the Vanara army to Rama. By describing them as nideśa vartinaḥ (obedient to command), he assures Rama that despite the naturally restless nature of monkeys, this army is disciplined. The phrase guru hite sthitāḥ indicates their unwavering commitment to the welfare of their master. Sugriva is effectively transferring the command, assuring Rama that these warriors are not only physically capable but possess the mental resolve and loyalty required to fulfill his desire—finding Sita.

सुग्रीव यहाँ श्री राम के प्रति वानर सेना के समर्पण और अनुशासन का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। 'निदेश वर्तिनः' का अर्थ है जो आज्ञा पालन में तत्पर हों। सुग्रीव यह आश्वासन दे रहे हैं कि यद्यपि वानर चंचल स्वभाव के होते हैं, किन्तु यह सेना पूर्णतः अनुशासित है और 'गुरु हिते स्थिताः'—अर्थात अपने स्वामी के कल्याण के लिए समर्पित है। यहाँ सुग्रीव अपनी सेना को राम की सेवा में सौंपते हुए यह स्पष्ट कर रहे हैं कि ये सैनिक न केवल शारीरिक रूप से बलशाली हैं, बल्कि मानसिक रूप से भी आपके उद्देश्य (सीता की खोज) को पूरा करने के लिए संकल्पबद्ध हैं।
