तस्य शलस्य पृष्ठेषु निर्झरेषु गुहासु च ।
रावणः सह वैदेह्या मार्गतव्या ततः ततः ॥ ॥४-४०-६५॥
Tasya śailasya pṛṣṭheṣu nirjhareṣu guhāsu ca । Rāvaṇaḥ saha vaidehyā mārgitavyaḥ tataḥ tataḥ ॥ ॥4-40-65॥
Translation
(Reiteration) On the slopes of that mountain, by the waterfalls, and in the caves, Ravana, along with Vaidehi, must be searched for everywhere.

(पुनः निर्देश) उस पर्वत के शिखरों पर, झरनों के पास और गुफाओं में, सीता (वैदेही) सहित रावण को हर जगह ढूँढना चाहिए।
English Commentary
Sugriva repeats the command to search, a common rhetorical device in oral traditions to ensure instructions are memorized. वाल्मीकि रामायण की शैली में महत्वपूर्ण निर्देशों को दोहराने की परंपरा है। श्लोक 62 के समान ही, यह श्लोक पुनः आदेश देता है। अंतर केवल इतना है कि यहाँ 'निर्झरेषु' (झरनों) का भी उल्लेख है। उदय पर्वत अत्यंत रमणीय है, और रावण जैसा विलासी राक्षस किसी सुंदर झरने या गुफा में छिपा हो सकता है। सुग्रीव अपनी बात समाप्त करते हुए यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहते हैं कि वानर भौगोलिक सुंदरता में खो न जाएं और चप्पा-चप्पा छान मारें।
