चन्द्र सूर्य अंशु संकाशः सागर अंबु समाश्रयः ।
भ्राजते विपुलैः शृन्गैः अम्बरम् विलिखन् इव ॥ ॥४-४१-२९॥
candra sūrya aṃśu saṅkāśaḥ sāgara ambu samāśrayaḥ |
bhrājate vipulaiḥ śṛngaiḥ ambaram vilikhan iva ॥4-41-29॥
Translation
It shines like the rays of the sun and the moon. Resting in the ocean waters, it glows with massive peaks that seem to scratch the sky.

वह पर्वत सूर्य और चन्द्रमा की किरणों के समान चमकता है। वह सागर के जल का आश्रय लिए हुए है और अपने विशाल शिखरों से आकाश को खुरचता हुआ (स्पर्श करता हुआ) सा प्रतीत होता है।
English Commentary
The description of Pushpitaka is majestic. It is compared to the radiance of both the sun and the moon, suggesting a glittering appearance (perhaps due to minerals or wet rocks reflecting light). The phrase 'ambaram vilikhan iva' (as if scratching the sky) is a classic poetic exaggeration to emphasize verticality. It portrays the mountain as a bridge connecting the deep ocean ('sagara ambu') with the high heavens, reinforcing the scale of the landscape the Vanaras must navigate.
