सर्वम् एतत् समालोक्य यत् च अन्यत् अपि दृश्यते ।
गतिम् विदित्वा वैदेह्याः संनिवर्तितम् अर्हथ ॥ ॥४-४१-४६॥
Sarvam etat samālokya yat ca anyat api dṛśyate । Gatim viditvā vaidehyāḥ saṃnivartitam arhatha ॥ ॥4-41-46॥
Translation
Having observed all this and whatever else is visible there, and having ascertained the whereabouts of Vaidehi (Sita), you should return.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इस सब (बताए गए स्थानों) को और जो कुछ अन्य भी वहाँ दिखाई दे, उसे अच्छी तरह देख-भालकर और वैदेही (सीता) की गति (स्थिति) का पता लगाकर तुम लोगों को वापस लौट आना चाहिए।
English Commentary
After listing specific locations, Sugriva returns to the core mission objective: finding Sita. By explicitly saying 'and whatever else is visible there,' Sugriva acknowledges that his map may not be exhaustive and empowers the Vanaras to use their situational awareness. The command is precise: observe, ascertain Sita’s gati (course/whereabouts), and return. It emphasizes discipline and focus—the goal is reconnaissance and intelligence gathering, not conquest or settlement. It reminds the warriors that their ultimate duty is to bring news back to Headquarters.

निर्देश देने के बाद अब सुग्रीव मुख्य उद्देश्य पर लौटते हैं—सीता की खोज। 'यत् च अन्यत् अपि दृश्यते' (और जो कुछ अन्य भी दिखाई दे) कहकर सुग्रीव यह स्वीकार कर रहे हैं कि उनके वर्णन के अलावा भी वहां बहुत कुछ हो सकता है। वे वानरों को अपनी बुद्धि और विवेक का प्रयोग करने की छूट दे रहे हैं। मुख्य आज्ञा है—देखना, पता लगाना, और वापस लौटना। यह श्लोक अभियान के अनुशासन को रेखांकित करता है; उद्देश्य वहां बसना या युद्ध करना नहीं, बल्कि 'सूचना' (Information gathering) लेकर लौटना है।
