अमित बल पराक्रमा भवन्तो विपुल गुणेषु कुलेषु च प्रसूताः ।
मनुज पति सुताम् यथा लभध्वम् तत् अधिगुणम् पुरुषार्थम् आरभध्वम् ॥ ॥४-४१-४९॥
Amita bala parākramā bhavanto vipula guṇeṣu kuleṣu ca prasūtāḥ । Manuja pati sutām yathā labhadhvam tat adhiguṇam puruṣārtham ārabhadhvam ॥ ॥4-41-49॥
Translation
You possess boundless strength and valor and are born in families of great virtue. Therefore, initiate such superior human effort (Purushartha) that you may discover the wife of the Lord of Men.

आप लोग अमित बल और पराक्रम वाले हैं तथा महान गुणों से युक्त कुलों में उत्पन्न हुए हैं। अतः आप ऐसा विशेष पौरुष (प्रयत्न) आरम्भ करें जिससे आप उन नरेश्वर की पत्नी (सीता) को खोज सकें।
English Commentary
This is the concluding exhortation for the Southern regiment. Sugriva appeals to their pride, lineage, and innate strength (Amita bala). The core message lies in the phrase adhiguṇam puruṣārtham—meaning 'superior' or 'extraordinary' human effort. Sugriva is telling them that standard effort will fail; this task demands they tap into their latent potential and exceed their known limits. By linking their noble birth to the expectation of noble action, he frames the search for Sita not just as an order, but as a test of their character and heritage.
