तत्र वैदूर्य वर्णाभो वज्र संस्थान संस्थितः ।
नाना द्रुम लता आकीर्णो वज्रः नाम महागिरिः ॥ ॥४-४२-२५॥
Tatra vaidūrya varṇābho vajra saṃsthāna saṃsthitaḥ । Nānā druma latā ākīrṇo vajraḥ nāma mahāgiriḥ ॥ ॥4-42-25॥
Translation
There stands a great mountain named Vajra, which has the color of Lapis Lazuli (or Cat's eye gem) and is shaped like a diamond (or thunderbolt). It is filled with various trees and creepers.

वहाँ वैदूर्य मणि (लहसुनिया) के समान रंग वाला और वज्र के आकार (षट्कोण या हीरक आकार) में बना हुआ 'वज्र' नामक एक विशाल पर्वत है, जो अनेक प्रकार के वृक्षों और लताओं से भरा है।
English Commentary
Moving past the Gandharva territory, the next landmark is the Vajra mountain. Its description is geometric and colorful: Vajra saṃsthāna implies a formation resembling a thunderbolt or diamond (angular, sharp peaks), and Vaidūrya varṇābho suggests a blue-green gem-like hue (likely Lapis Lazuli or Beryl). This visual marker helps the Vanaras confirm they are on the right path. It is a rugged, gem-colored terrain covered in vegetation.
