तेषु सर्वेषु दुर्गेषु सरस्सु च सरित्सु च ।
रावणः सह वैदेह्या मार्गितव्यः ततः ततः ॥ ॥४-४२-४७॥
Teṣu sarveṣu durgeṣu sarassu ca saritsu ca । Rāvaṇaḥ saha vaidehyā mārgitavyaḥ tataḥ tataḥ ॥ ॥4-42-47॥
Translation
In all those difficult-to-access places, lakes, and rivers, Ravana along with Vaidehi (Sita) must be searched for everywhere.

उन सभी दुर्गम स्थानों, सरोवरों और नदियों में तुम्हें रावण और वैदेही (सीता) को स्थान-स्थान पर खोजना चाहिए।
English Commentary
Sugriva interrupts the geographical tour to reiterate the mission mandate. Despite the distractions of golden trees and divine palaces, the Vanaras must thoroughly scour the rugged terrain (durgeshu), the water bodies (sarassu), and the rivers (saritsu). The command margitavyah (must be searched) is binding. Sugriva knows that Ravana is cunning and could be hiding in natural crevices or underwater caves. This verse ensures the soldiers do not become mere tourists in this wonderland but remain focused investigators hunting for the fugitive demon king and the abducted princess.

भव्य और अलौकिक दृश्यों के वर्णन के बीच, सुग्रीव पुनः मुख्य उद्देश्य पर लौटते हैं। वह वानरों को याद दिलाते हैं कि वरुण के भवन या सोने के ताड़ वृक्ष को देखना ही उनका लक्ष्य नहीं है, बल्कि उन दुर्गम स्थानों ('दुर्गेषु') में सीता को खोजना है। रावण जैसे मायावी राक्षस के छिपने के लिए ये बीहड़, नदियाँ और सरोवर उपयुक्त स्थान हो सकते हैं। 'ततः ततः' (वहाँ-वहाँ/हर जगह) शब्द खोज की गहनता को दर्शाता है। यह श्लोक अभियान की प्राथमिकता को पुन: स्थापित करता है।
