ऋषि पुत्रान् च तान् सर्वान् प्रतीचीम् आदिशत् दिशम् ।
द्वाभ्याम् शत सहस्राभ्याम् कपीनाम् कपि सत्तमाः ॥ ॥४-४२-५॥
Ṛṣi putrān ca tān sarvān pratīcīm ādiśat diśam । Dvābhyām śata sahasrābhyām kapīnām kapi sattamāḥ ॥ ॥4-42-5॥
Translation
Sugriva ordered all those sons of Rishis to head towards the West direction. O best of monkeys! (That group consisted of) two hundred thousand Vanaras.

उन सब ऋषि-पुत्रों को सुग्रीव ने पश्चिम (प्रतीची) दिशा की ओर जाने का आदेश दिया। हे कपिश्रेष्ठो! (उस दल में) दो लाख वानर थे।

Sugriva formally issues the command to head West (pratīcīm diśam). The troop strength is specified as dvābhyām śata sahasrābhyām (two hundred thousand).
