तम् अतिक्रम्य शैलेन्द्रम् हेम गर्भम् महागिरिम् ।
ततः सुदर्शनम् नाम पर्वतम् गन्तुम् अर्हथ ॥४-४३-१६॥
tam atikramya śailendram hema garbham mahāgirim |
tataḥ sudarśanam nāma parvatam gantum arhatha ॥4-43-16॥
Translation
Having crossed that lord of mountains, you should then go to the great mountain named Sudarshana, which contains gold within its womb.

उस पर्वतराज (काल) को पार करके, जिसके गर्भ में सुवर्ण भरा है, उस 'सुदर्शन' नामक विशाल पर्वत पर तुम्हें जाना चाहिए।
English Commentary
The journey continues past the Kala mountain to mount "Sudarshana". The descriptor "hema garbham" (gold-womb) indicates this mountain is rich in precious minerals, possibly serving as a visual identifier for the search party—glittering or distinct in color. Sugriva's detailed knowledge of the geological features (like gold deposits) of these distant lands confirms his status as 'Sarvajna' (all-knowing). The transition from the dark/imposing 'Kala' to the 'Sudarshana' (beautiful to look at) suggests a changing landscape in the northward march.
