तस्य चन्द्र निकशेषु पर्वतेषु गुहासु च ।
रावणः सह वैदेह्या मार्गितव्यः ततः ततः ॥४-४३-२४॥
tasya candra nikaśeṣu parvateṣu guhāsu ca |
rāvaṇaḥ saha vaidehyā mārgitavyaḥ tataḥ tataḥ ॥4-43-24॥
Translation
In the mountains resembling the moon [in brightness] and in the caves belonging to him, Ravana along with Vaidehi is to be searched for here and there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस (कुबेर) के चन्द्रमा के समान कांति वाले पर्वतों और गुफाओं में विदेहराज की पुत्री (सीता) के साथ रावण को यहाँ-वहाँ खोजना।
English Commentary
The search instruction concludes for the Kailasha region. The mountains are described as "chandra nikasesu" (resembling the moon/bright as moonlight), emphasizing the blinding whiteness of the snow-clad peaks. Even in this divine realm of Kubera, the monkeys are ordered to search the "guhasu" (caves). This implies that Ravana, being a master of illusion (Mayavi), could infiltrate even his brother's territory. Sugriva ensures that the reverence for Kubera does not hinder the thoroughness of the search operation. Every crevice of the holy mountain must be inspected for the abductor and the princess.

कैलास क्षेत्र की अंतिम खोज का निर्देश। पर्वतों को 'चन्द्र निकशेषु' कहा गया है, अर्थात जो चाँदनी की तरह चमकते हैं (बर्फ के कारण) या जिनकी कसौटी (निकष) चन्द्रमा के समान उज्ज्वल है। कुबेर के क्षेत्र में भी 'गुहासु' (गुफाओं) की खोज पर जोर है। यद्यपि कुबेर रावण के शत्रु हैं, लेकिन रावण अपनी माया से या कुबेर की जानकारी के बिना वहां के दुर्गम स्थानों में छिप सकता है। सुग्रीव का आदेश निरंतर 'ततः ततः' (हर जगह) खोजने का है, जो दर्शाता है कि कोई भी स्थान, चाहे वह कितना भी पवित्र या रक्षित क्यों न हो, संदेह से परे नहीं है।
