तरुण आदित्य संकाशैः हंसैः विचरितम् शुभैः ।
औपवाह्यः कुबेरस्य सर्वभौम इति स्मृतः ॥४-४३-३४॥
taruṇa āditya saṃkāśaiḥ haṃsaiḥ vicaritam śubhaiḥ |
aupavāhyaḥ kuberasya sarvabhauma iti smṛtaḥ ॥4-43-34॥
Translation
It is wandered over by auspicious swans resembling the young sun. The vehicle of Kubera, known as Sarvabhauma, is there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस सरोवर में बाल-सूर्य (उगते सूरज) के समान कांति वाले शुभ हंस विचरण करते हैं। वहाँ कुबेर का 'सार्वभौम' नामक वाहन (दिग्गज/हाथी) रहता है।
English Commentary
The imagery of the lake is enriched with 'hamsas' (swans) that glow like the 'taruna aditya' (young/rising sun), implying a reddish-golden hue, matching the golden lotuses. This creates a surreal, divine atmosphere. Crucially, Sugriva mentions 'Sarvabhauma,' the elephant who serves as Kubera's mount ('aupavahyah'). In Hindu cosmology, Sarvabhauma is the Diggaja (elephant guardian) of the North. His presence marks the extreme northern boundary of the known orderly world, guarding the frontiers of Kubera's realm.

वैखानस सरोवर की सुंदरता का वर्णन जारी है। यहाँ के हंस श्वेत नहीं, बल्कि 'तरुण आदित्य संकाशैः' (बाल सूर्य के समान लाल/नारंगी आभा वाले) हैं, जो अत्यंत दुर्लभ और दिव्य हैं। इसके साथ ही एक महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी दी गई है—'सार्वभौम' नामक हाथी का वहां होना। पौराणिक मान्यताओं में सार्वभौम उत्तर दिशा का दिग्गज (Directional Elephant) है जो कुबेर का वाहन ('औपवाह्यः') है। ऐसे शक्तिशाली प्राणी की उपस्थिति यह बताती है कि यह क्षेत्र देवताओं के सीधे नियंत्रण में है।
