ततः कार्य समासंगम् अवगम्य हनूमति ।
विदित्वा हनुमन्तम् च चिन्तयामास राघवः ॥४-४४-८॥
tataḥ kārya samāsaṃgam avagamya hanūmati |
viditvā hanumantam ca cintayāmāsa rāghavaḥ ॥4-44-8॥
Translation
Then, realizing that the success of the mission rested on Hanuman, and knowing Hanuman's capabilities, Raghava (Rama) began to reflect.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब कार्य की सफलता को हनुमान पर ही आश्रित जानकर, और हनुमान (के प्रभाव) को पहचानकर, रघुकुल नन्दन राम विचार करने लगे।
English Commentary
The narrative focus shifts to Rama. Until now, he observed the interaction between the Vanara King and his minister. Recognizing ('avagamya') that the entire weight of the mission ('karya samasangam') was being placed on Hanuman, and having personally assessed ('viditva') Hanuman’s character earlier, Rama enters a state of deep contemplation ('chintayamasa'). He realizes that this specific Vanara is the linchpin of their entire endeavor.
हिंदी टीका
अब दृश्य (focus) सुग्रीव से हटकर राम पर आता है। राम एक मौन प्रेक्षक (silent observer) थे। उन्होंने देखा कि सुग्रीव जैसा राजा अपना पूरा दांव हनुमान पर लगा रहा है। 'कार्य समासंगम्' का अर्थ है कार्य का पूरा भार हनुमान पर आ जाना। राम ने भी हनुमान के व्यक्तित्व को 'विदित्वा' (जानकर/परखकर) यह अनुभव किया कि यही वह व्यक्ति है जो सीता का पता लगा सकता है। यह राम के मन में आशा का संचार है।
