सर्वथा निश्चित अर्थो अयम् हनूमति हरि ईश्वरः ।
निश्चित अर्थतरः च अपि हनूमान् कार्य साधने ॥४-४४-९॥
sarvathā niścita artho ayam hanūmati hari īśvaraḥ |
niścita arthataraḥ ca api hanūmān kārya sādhane ॥4-44-9॥
Translation
The Lord of Monkeys (Sugriva) is completely determined regarding Hanuman's capacity; and Hanuman is even more determined to accomplish the task.

वानरराज सुग्रीव हनुमान पर पूर्णतः विश्वास कर चुके हैं (कि वे कार्य करेंगे), और हनुमान भी कार्य सिद्ध करने के लिए (सुग्रीव से भी) अधिक कृतसंकल्प हैं।
English Commentary
This verse captures the synergistic confidence between the leader and the operative. Rama notes that while Sugriva is 'nishcita-artha' (decided/confident) about Hanuman, Hanuman himself is 'nishcita-arthatarah' (even more determined/resolute). The use of the comparative suffix '-tara' highlights that the agent's internal drive surpasses even the master's expectation. It suggests that for Hanuman, this is no longer just an order, but a personal vow.

यहाँ राम, सुग्रीव और हनुमान के बीच के मानसिक तालमेल का वर्णन है। सुग्रीव 'निश्चित अर्थ' हैं (आश्वस्त हैं), लेकिन हनुमान 'निश्चित अर्थ-तर' (अधिक आश्वस्त/More determined) हैं। जब स्वामी अपने सेवक पर भरोसा करता है, तो सेवक का उत्तरदायित्व और उत्साह दोगुना हो जाता है। व्याकरण की दृष्टि से 'तर' प्रत्यय (comparative suffix) का प्रयोग यह बताने के लिए किया गया है कि हनुमान का संकल्प सुग्रीव के विश्वास से भी गहरा है।
