अहम् योजन संख्यायाः प्लविता न अत्र संशयः ।
शतम् योजन संख्यायाः शतम् समधिकम् हि अहम् ॥ ॥४-४५-१५॥
aham yojana saṃkhyāyāḥ plavitā na atra saṃśayaḥ |
śatam yojana saṃkhyāyāḥ śatam samadhikam hi aham ॥4-45-15॥
Translation
"I am a leaper of one Yojana, there is no doubt about it." (Another claims), "I can leap one hundred Yojanas, and indeed, even more than one hundred."

(कोई कहता है) "मैं एक योजन की छलांग लगा सकता हूँ, इसमें संशय नहीं है।" (दूसरा कहता है) "मैं सौ योजन और उससे भी अधिक छलांग लगा सकता हूँ।"
English Commentary
Here, the specific skill of Plavita (leaping/jumping) is discussed, which is the defining characteristic of the Vanara race (Plavaga - those who go by leaping). The warriors compare their stats: one claims a single Yojana, another claims a hundred (Shatam). This foreshadows the pivotal moment later in the Kishkindha Kanda when the search party reaches the southern ocean and must determine who can actually leap the full 100 Yojanas to Lanka. It establishes that while many are powerful, varying degrees of capacity exist within the ranks.
