गहनेषु च देशेषु दुर्गेषु विषमेषु च ।
सत्त्वानि अतिप्रमाणानि विचितानि हतानि च ।
ये चैव गहना देशा विचिताः ते पुनः पुनः ॥ ॥४-४७-१३॥
gahaneṣu ca deśeṣu durgeṣu viṣameṣu ca । sattvāni atipramāṇāni vicitāni hatāni ca । ye caiva gahanā deśā vicitāḥ te punaḥ punaḥ ॥ ॥4-47-13॥
Translation
In dense regions, in inaccessible and uneven terrains, huge creatures were searched for and killed. Furthermore, those regions that were exceedingly deep and dense were searched again and again.

अत्यंत सघन प्रदेशों में, दुर्गम स्थानों और विषम (ऊबड़-खाबड़) जगहों पर, विशालकाय प्राणियों को ढूँढा गया और (आवश्यकता पड़ने पर) मारा भी गया। जो स्थान अत्यंत गहन थे, उन्हें बार-बार खोजा गया।
English Commentary
