सह तार अंगदाभ्याम् तु सहसा हनुमान् कपिः ।
सुग्रीवेण यथा उद्दिष्टम् तम् देशम् उपचक्रमे ॥ ॥४-४८-१॥
saha tāra aṅgadābhyām tu sahasā hanumān kapiḥ । sugrīveṇa yathā uddiṣṭam tam deśam upacakrame ॥ ॥4-48-1॥
Translation
Then, the Kapis Hanuman, along with Tara and Angada, quickly proceeded towards that region as directed by Sugriva.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(इसके पश्चात) हनुमान कपि ने तार और अंगद के साथ, सुग्रीव द्वारा जैसा निर्देश दिया गया था, उस देश (दक्षिण दिशा) की ओर तत्काल प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
This verse marks the commencement of the actual expedition into the designated territory. It groups the tri-leadership of the southern search party: Hanuman, the strategic genius; Angada, the crown prince; and Tara, a senior commander. The prominence given to Hanuman, even alongside royalty like Angada, is significant. The phrase "yathā uddiṣṭam" (as directed) emphasizes the adherence to the military command structure established by Sugriva. The use of "sahasā" (quickly/immediately) reflects the urgency of the mission—there is no hesitation in their departure, highlighting their commitment to Rama's cause.

यह श्लोक एक नए सर्ग (अध्याय) का आरंभ करता है, जहाँ कार्य का निष्पादन शुरू होता है। यहाँ तीन प्रमुख नामों का उल्लेख है: हनुमान, अंगद (युवराज) और तार (सेनापति)। यद्यपि अंगद औपचारिक नेता हैं, हनुमान का नाम यहाँ प्रमुखता से लिया गया है, जो उनकी कार्यक्षमता को दर्शाता है। "यथा उद्दिष्टम्" (जैसा निर्देश दिया गया था) वाक्यांश सुग्रीव के शासन और अनुशासन का परिचायक है। वानर अपनी मर्जी से नहीं, बल्कि राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार रणनीतिक रूप से आगे बढ़ रहे हैं। "सहसा" शब्द उनकी तत्परता और समय की गंभीरता को दिखाता है।
