हृष्टः सौहृदम् आलम्ब्य पर्यष्वजत पीडितम् ।
ततो हनूमान् संत्यज्य भिक्षु रूपम् अरिन्दमः ॥ ॥४-५-१३॥
Hṛṣṭaḥ sauhṛdam ālambya paryaṣvajata pīḍitam । Tato Hanūmān santyajya bhikṣu rūpam arindamaḥ ॥ ॥4-5-13॥
Translation
Joyfully accepting the friendship, Rama embraced Sugriva tightly. Then, Hanuman, the subduer of enemies, discarded his disguise of a mendicant.
हिंदी अनुवाद
प्रसन्न होकर राम ने सुग्रीव को मित्रता के अधिकार से खींचकर जोर से गले लगा लिया। तब शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाले हनुमान जी ने अपने भिक्षु रूप को त्याग दिया।
English Commentary
Following the handshake, Rama pulls Sugriva into a tight embrace, dissolving any remaining barriers of protocol. This emotional gesture signifies total acceptance. Simultaneously, Hanuman sheds his Bhikshu (mendicant/beggar) disguise. This is symbolic: the time for caution, disguise, and testing is over. With the alliance formed, truth and transparency prevail. Hanuman returns to his natural form, ready to serve as the divine facilitator between the two kings without any further masks.

हाथ मिलाने के बाद, राम ने औपचारिकता तोड़ते हुए सुग्रीव को गले (आलिंगन) लगा लिया। यह राम की उदारता है। इसके तत्काल बाद, हनुमान जी ने अपना "भिक्षु रूप" त्याग दिया। अब तक हनुमान एक ब्राह्मण के वेश में थे क्योंकि वे अपरिचितों (राम-लक्ष्मण) की टोह लेने गए थे। अब चूँकि मित्रता हो गई है, छल या आवरण की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं रही। हनुमान का अपने वास्तविक वानर रूप में आना पारदर्शिता और पूर्ण विश्वास की बहाली का संकेत है। अब वे अपने असली स्वरूप में अपने आराध्य की सेवा करेंगे।
