अजानताम् नः सर्वेषाम् सर्वम् आख्यातुम् अर्हसि ।
एवम् उक्ता हनुमता तापसी धर्म चारिणी ॥ ॥४-५१-९॥
ajānatām naḥ sarveṣām sarvam ākhyātum arhasi । evam uktā hanumatā tāpasī dharma cāriṇī ॥ ॥4-51-9॥
Translation
"We are all ignorant of these matters, so please deem it fit to explain everything to us." Thus addressed by Hanuman, that female ascetic, who practiced righteousness, replied.

"हम सब इन बातों से अनजान हैं, अतः आप हमें सब कुछ विस्तार से बताने की कृपा करें।" हनुमान जी के ऐसा कहने पर उस धर्मपरायण तपस्विनी ने उत्तर दिया।
English Commentary
Hanuman employs strategic humility, labeling himself and his group as 'ajanatam' (ignorant/unknowing). By surrendering his ego, he invites the ascetic to take the superior role of a teacher or guide. This is a classic diplomatic approach to disarm a potential threat and gain information.
