तस्याः तत् वचनम् श्रुत्वा हनुमान् मारुत आत्मजः ।
आर्जवेन यथा तत्त्वम् आख्यातुम् उपचक्रमे ॥ ॥४-५२-३॥
tasyāḥ tat vacanam śrutvā hanumān māruta ātmajaḥ । ārjavena yathā tattvam ākhyātum upacakrame ॥ ॥4-52-3॥
Translation
Hearing her words, Hanuman, the son of the Wind God, began to narrate the factual truth with straightforwardness.

उनके (तपस्विनी के) वे वचन सुनकर, पवनपुत्र हनुमान जी ने सरलता (निष्कपटता) से यथार्थ बात (सत्य) कहना आरम्भ किया।
English Commentary
The key term here is 'arjavena' (with straightforwardness/honesty). In a hostile territory like an Asura's cave, deception would be the standard defense. However, reciprocating the ascetic's hospitality, Hanuman chooses transparency. 'Yatha tattvam' means "as the reality is." This decision marks a pivotal moment where the Vanaras formally accept the ascetic as an ally rather than a threat. Hanuman's ability to judge character allows him to drop his guard.

यहाँ हनुमान जी के लिए 'आर्जवेन' (सरलता/निष्कपटता से) शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया है। कूटनीति में कभी-कभी अर्धसत्य आवश्यक होता है, लेकिन एक सिद्ध तपस्विनी के सामने, जिसने उनके प्राण बचाए हैं, हनुमान जी ने पूर्ण सत्य 'यथा तत्त्वम्' (जैसा वह वास्तव में है) बोलने का निर्णय लिया। 'मारुत आत्मजः' (वायु पुत्र) विशेषण उनकी वाक्पटुता और निर्बाध गति का भी सूचक है। सत्य बोलना कृतज्ञता का सबसे बड़ा रूप है।
