शासनात् कपि राजस्य वयम् सर्वे विनिर्गताः ।
मासः पूर्णो बिलस्थानाम् हरयः किम् न बुध्यते ॥४-५३-८॥
śāsanāt kapi rājasya vayam sarve vinirgatāḥ |
māsaḥ pūrṇo bilasthānām harayaḥ kim na budhyate ॥4-53-8॥
Translation
"We all set out on the order of the King of Monkeys. While we were situated inside the cave, the month was completed. O Monkeys, do you not realize this?"

"वानरराज (सुग्रीव) की आज्ञा से हम सब यहाँ निकले थे। जब हम उस गुफा (बिल) में थे, तभी एक मास की अवधि पूर्ण हो गई। हे वानरों! क्या आप लोगों को इसका भान नहीं है?"
English Commentary
Angada begins his address by grounding the troops in the harsh reality of their timeline. By invoking the śāsanāt (command/edict) of the Monkey King, he reinforces the binding nature of their mission. He clarifies the chronology: the deadline expired bilasthānām—while they were trapped in the Black Hole (Rikshabila). This distinction is vital as it identifies the cause of the delay as situational rather than intentional negligence, though the result (missed deadline) remains the same. His rhetorical question challenges the troops to awaken from their daze and acknowledge that they are now technically in violation of the King's orders.
