त्वाम् न एते हि अनुयुंजेयुः प्रत्यक्षम् प्रवदामि ते ।
यथा अयम् जांबवान् नीलः सुहोत्रः च महाकपिः ॥ ॥४-५४-१०॥
tvām na ete hi anuyuṃjeyuḥ pratyakṣam pravadāmi te । yathā ayam jāṃbavān nīlaḥ suhotraḥ ca mahākapiḥ ॥ ॥4-54-10॥
Translation
"I tell you plainly: neither this Jambavan, nor Nila, nor the great monkey Suhotra will follow you."
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं तुमसे प्रत्यक्ष (स्पष्ट) कहता हूँ कि ये जाम्बवान, नील और महाकपि सुहोत्र—ये कोई भी तुम्हारा साथ नहीं देंगे।
English Commentary
Hanuman moves from generalities to specifics, naming the heavyweights of the army. Jambavan represents wisdom and ancient lineage; Nila is the commander-in-chief; Suhotra is a great warrior. By explicitly stating that these key figures will not follow Angada (na anuyunjeyuh), Hanuman shatters the core of Angada's potential rebellion. It is a blunt reality check ("I tell you plainly"). A revolt implies breaking the chain of command, but if the commanders remain loyal to Sugriva, Angada is not a rebel king but merely a runaway fugitive. This isolation is calculated to force Angada to abandon his suicidal plan.

'भेद' नीति का अंतिम प्रहार। हनुमान जी अब सामान्य वानरों की बात छोड़कर सेना के शीर्ष नेतृत्व का नाम लेते हैं। जाम्बवान (मंत्री और बुजुर्ग), नील (सेनापति), और सुहोत्र—ये सेना के स्तंभ हैं। हनुमान जी अंगद की आंखों में आंखें डालकर ('प्रत्यक्षम्') चुनौती देते हैं कि ये वरिष्ठ योद्धा विद्रोह में शामिल नहीं होंगे। जब सेनापति ही साथ नहीं हैं, तो विद्रोह असंभव है। यह अंगद के मनोबल को पूरी तरह तोड़ने वाला कथन है। हनुमान जी यह सुनिश्चित कर रहे हैं कि अंगद को यह समझ आ जाए कि वे पूरी तरह अकेले हैं और उनके पास सुग्रीव के पास लौटने के अलावा कोई विकल्प नहीं है।
