जानामि वारुणान् लोकान् विष्णोः त्रैविक्रमान् अपि ।
देव असुर विमर्दाम् च हि अमृतस्य च मंथनम् ॥ ॥४-५८-१३॥
Jānāmi vāruṇān lokān viṣṇoḥ traivikramān api |
Deva asura vimardām ca hi amṛtasya ca manthanam ॥4-58-13॥
Translation
I know the worlds of Varuna, the strides of Vishnu (Trivikrama), the wars between Devas and Asuras, and indeed the churning of the ocean (for nectar).
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं वरुण के लोकों को, भगवान विष्णु के त्रिविक्रम (वामन अवतार के तीन पग) को, तथा देवासुर संग्राम और अमृत मंथन को भी जानता हूँ (मैंने देखा है)।

Sampati establishes his credentials as an ancient and reliable witness. By listing primordial events like the 'Traivikrama' (Vamana Avatar's strides) and 'Amrita Manthan' (Churning of the Ocean), he dates his existence to the dawn of mythology. This serves a dual purpose: it proves his extraordinary longevity and implies that his vision extends beyond the physical, covering cosmic realms ('Varunan lokan'). For the Vanaras, this validates that they are speaking to a sage-like entity whose intelligence report will be flawless.

सम्पाती अपनी विश्वसनीयता (credibility) स्थापित कर रहा है। वह बता रहा है कि वह साधारण पक्षी नहीं है, बल्कि युग-युगान्तर का साक्षी है। वामन अवतार और समुद्र मंथन अत्यंत प्राचीन घटनाएं हैं। यदि उसने सृष्टि के इन आदिम संघर्षों को देखा है, तो उसकी दृष्टि और अनुभव पर संदेह नहीं किया जा सकता। यह वानरों को विश्वास दिलाता है कि जो जानकारी वह देने जा रहा है, वह सत्य और सटीक होगी। यह उसकी विशाल आयु और दिव्य दृष्टि का प्रमाण है।
