जांबूनदमयैः द्वारैः चित्रैः कांचन वेदिकैः ।
प्रासादैः हेम वर्णैः च महद्भिः सुसमाकृता ॥ ॥४-५८-२१॥
Jāmbūnadamayaiḥ dvāraiḥ citraiḥ kāñcana vedikaiḥ |
Prāsādaiḥ hema varṇaiḥ ca mahadbhiḥ susamākṛtā ॥4-58-21॥
Translation
It is well-adorned with gates made of Jambunada gold, wonderful golden altars, and magnificent gold-colored palaces.

वह नगरी जांबूनद (विशेष प्रकार का सोना) से बने द्वारों, विचित्र सुवर्ण वेदियों और सोने के रंग वाले विशाल महलों से अच्छी तरह सजी हुई है।
English Commentary
Intelligence on the target's infrastructure. Sampati describes the sheer opulence of Lanka. 'Jambunada' refers to gold found in the Jambu river, considered the purest. The mention of golden gates, altars, and palaces ('prasadaih hema varnaih') confirms the legend of the "City of Gold." This description serves to intimidate and awe; the enemy is not living in squalor but in the height of luxury and engineering perfection. It highlights the magnitude of the task ahead for the forest-dwelling Vanaras.

सम्पाती लंका के वैभव (Opulence) का वर्णन करता है। 'जांबूनद' एक उत्तम कोटि का स्वर्ण है। लंका केवल एक किला नहीं, बल्कि ऐश्वर्य का प्रतीक है। द्वारों और महलों का स्वर्णमय होना ('हेम वर्णैः') रावण की अपार संपत्ति को दर्शाता है। यह वर्णन वानरों को मनोवैज्ञानिक रूप से तैयार करता है कि वे किसी कंदरा में रहने वाले राक्षस से नहीं, बल्कि एक स्वर्ण-नगरी के सम्राट से भिड़ने जा रहे हैं। 'सुसमाकृता' का अर्थ है बहुत व्यवस्थित रूप से बनायी गयी।
