Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
षष्ठः तु पन्था हंसानाम् वैनतेय गतिः परा ।
वैनतेयात् च नः जन्म सर्वेषाम् वानरर्षभाः ॥ ॥४-५८-२९॥
Ṣaṣṭhaḥ tu panthā haṃsānām vainateya gatiḥ parā |
Vainateyāt ca naḥ janma sarveṣām vānararṣabhāḥ ॥4-58-29॥
Translation
The sixth path is of the swans. The flight/path of Vainateya (Garuda) is beyond that (supreme). O best of monkeys, the birth of all of us is from that Vainateya lineage.
हिंदी अनुवाद
छठा मार्ग हंसों का है। वैनतेय (गरुड़) की गति उससे भी परे (सबसे ऊँची) है। हे वानर श्रेष्ठों! हम सभी का जन्म उसी वैनतेय (अरुण/गरुड़) के वंश में हुआ है।
English Commentary
The hierarchy concludes with the apex flyers. The sixth tier belongs to 'Hamsas' (swans), known for high-altitude migration over the Himalayas. Beyond even that is the domain of 'Vainateya' (Garuda). Sampati claims direct lineage ('nah janma') from this supreme class. By associating himself with Garuda, he clarifies that his 'vulture' form is not ordinary but of celestial origin (Suparna), justifying his extraordinary powers of sight and endurance.

यह उड़ान की चरम सीमा है। हंस (Swans) जो हिमालय के ऊपर से उड़ते हैं, छठे स्तर पर हैं। और सबसे ऊपर, 'परा' (सर्वोच्च), वैनतेय (गरुड़) का क्षेत्र है। सम्पाती गर्व से दावा करता है कि वह उसी सर्वोच्च वैनतेय वंश (अरुण के पुत्र) से है। इसका अर्थ है कि उसकी क्षमता प्रकृति के सामान्य नियमों से परे है। वह देवताओं के वाहन (गरुड़) का भतीजा है, इसलिए उसकी दृष्टि और शक्ति अलौकिक है।
