ततः तत् अमृत आस्वादम् गृध्र राजेन भाषितम् ।
निशम्य मुदितो हृष्टाः ते वचः प्लवगर्षभाः ॥ ॥४-५९-१॥
Tataḥ tat amṛta āsvādam gṛdhra rājena bhāṣitam । Niśamya mudito hṛṣṭāḥ te vacaḥ plavagarṣabhāḥ ॥ ॥4-59-1॥
Translation
Then, hearing those words spoken by the King of Vultures, which were like the taste of nectar, those excellent Vanaras were gladdened and delighted.

तदनंतर, गृध्रराज के द्वारा कहे गए उस अमृत-तुल्य स्वादिष्ट वचन को सुनकर वे वानर-श्रेष्ठ अत्यंत प्रसन्न और हर्षित हुए।
English Commentary
Sampati’s words are metaphorically described as Amṛta āsvādam (tasting like nectar). Just as nectar grants immortality or revives the dead, the intelligence regarding Sita has revived the Vanaras who were metaphorically dead in their despair. The epithet Plavagarṣabhāḥ (bulls among leaping monkeys) suggests a return of their dominant, masculine energy. This verse emphasizes the psychological impact of the revelation; the "nectar" is not just the location of Sita, but the redemption of their honor and the salvation of their lives from Sugriva’s potential punishment.

यहाँ संपाति के वचनों की तुलना 'अमृत' से की गई है। जैसे अमृत मृत व्यक्ति में प्राण डाल देता है, वैसे ही संपाति की सूचना ने निराश वानरों को नया जीवन दिया है। 'प्लवगर्षभाः' (वानरों में श्रेष्ठ/बैल) संबोधन उनकी लौटी हुई शक्ति और पौरुष को दर्शाता है। यह श्लोक स्पष्ट करता है कि घोर संकट के समय आशा की एक किरण भी दिव्य औषधि का कार्य करती है। वानरों की प्रसन्नता केवल सीता का पता चलने से नहीं है, अपितु सुग्रीव के दंड और राम के कोप से बचने की संभावना से भी है।
