Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवम् उक्तः ततो अहम् तैः सिद्धैः परम शोभनैः ।
स च मे रावणो राजा रक्षसाम् प्रतिवेदितः ॥ ॥४-५९-१९॥
Evam uktaḥ tato aham taiḥ siddhaiḥ parama śobhanaiḥ । Sa ca me rāvaṇo rāja rakṣasām prativeditaḥ ॥ ॥4-59-19॥
Translation
Having been spoken to thus by those extremely radiant Siddhas, it was made known to me that he was Ravana, the King of Demons.

परम शोभायमान उन सिद्धों द्वारा इस प्रकार कहे जाने पर, मुझे ज्ञात कराया गया कि वह राक्षसों का राजा रावण था।
English Commentary
This verse confirms the identification of the target. Suparshva was initially ignorant of the traveler's identity. It was the Siddhas (perfected beings) who performed the Prativeditaḥ (reporting/identification). They revealed that the humble traveler was actually the feared Rāvaṇo rāja rakṣasām. This validates Sampati’s intelligence report to the Vanaras. It wasn't a vague sighting; it was a confirmed encounter verified by omniscient celestial beings, adding absolute credibility to the lead the Vanaras are now following.

अब जाकर रहस्य का उद्घाटन होता है। सुपार्श्व को उस समय पता नहीं था कि वह काला पुरुष कौन था। सिद्धों (दिव्य शक्तियों वाले योगी) ने उसे 'प्रतिवेदितः' (सूचित किया/पहचान कराई) कि वह और कोई नहीं, लंकापति रावण था। 'परम शोभनैः' सिद्धों की आभा को दर्शाता है जो सत्य के प्रकाशक हैं। यह श्लोक सूचना के स्रोत (Source of Intelligence) की पुष्टि करता है। संपाति की जानकारी अनुमान पर नहीं, बल्कि प्रत्यक्षदर्शी (सुपार्श्व) और दिव्य ज्ञानी (सिद्ध) के संवाद पर आधारित है।
