एतत् अर्थम् समग्रम् मे सुपार्श्वः प्रत्यवेदयत् ।
तत् श्रुत्वा अपि हि मे बुद्धिः न आसीत् काचित् पराक्रमे ॥ ॥४-५९-२२॥
Etat artham samagram me suparśvaḥ pratyavedayat । Tat śrutvā api hi me buddhiḥ na āsīt kācit parākrame ॥ ॥4-59-22॥
Translation
Suparshva reported this whole matter to me accurately. However, even after hearing it, I had no mind/resolve for any valorous action (due to my inability).
हिंदी अनुवाद
सुपार्श्व ने मुझे यह पूरा वृत्तांत सुनाया। उसे सुनकर भी, मेरी बुद्धि में (शरीर की असमर्थता के कारण) पराक्रम (युद्ध/उद्धार) करने का कोई उत्साह नहीं हुआ।
English Commentary
This verse captures the tragic helplessness of Sampati. He possessed the most critical intelligence (Etat artham samagram - the whole truth), yet he was paralyzed by his physical condition. The phrase Buddhiḥ na āsīt kācit parākrame indicates that the very thought of valor was futile for a wingless cripple. It underscores the pain of knowing the truth but lacking the agency to act upon it. This admission humanizes Sampati, stripping away any bravado to reveal a broken warrior who could only mourn the injustice he witnessed.

यह श्लोक संपाति की मानसिक पीड़ा और विवशता को उजागर करता है। जानकारी होना एक बात है, और उस पर कार्य करने की क्षमता होना दूसरी। 'बुद्धिः न आसीत् काचित् पराक्रमे' का अर्थ यह नहीं है कि वे कायर थे, बल्कि यह है कि एक पंखहीन पक्षी के लिए रावण का पीछा करना असंभव था। यह 'धर्म-संकट' की स्थिति है जहाँ मन कर्म करना चाहता है, लेकिन शरीर साथ नहीं देता। संपाति अपनी सीमाओं को स्वीकार करते हुए अपनी स्थिति की त्रासदी का वर्णन कर रहे हैं।
