को दाशरथि बाणानाम् वज्र वेग निपातिनाम् ।
स्वयम् लक्ष्मणम् मुक्तानाम् न चिंतयति विक्रमम् ॥ ॥४-५९-४॥
Ko dāśarathi bāṇānām vajra vega nipātinām । Svayam lakṣmaṇam muktānām na ciṃtayati vikramam ॥ ॥4-59-4॥
Translation
Who is he that does not heed the prowess of the arrows released by the son of Dasharatha and Lakshmana, which strike with the velocity of a thunderbolt?

वह कौन है जो दशरथनंदन (राम) और लक्ष्मण द्वारा छोड़े गए, वज्र के समान वेग से गिरने वाले बाणों के पराक्रम की चिंता नहीं करता?
English Commentary
This rhetorical question expresses Jambavan’s disbelief at the abductor's audacity. Having witnessed or known of Rama’s prowess, Jambavan finds it inconceivable that anyone would invite the wrath of the brothers. He describes their arrows as Vajra vega nipātinām (striking with the speed/force of a thunderbolt). The verse serves to glorify Rama's martial capability and implicitly frames the abductor as either incredibly powerful or incredibly foolish to ignore such a threat. It sets the stage for revealing Ravana, a figure whose ego blinds him to this very danger.
