तानि अस्माभिः गृहीतानि निहितानि च राघव ।
आनयिष्यामि अहम् तानि प्रत्यभिज्ञातुम् अर्हसि ॥ ॥४-६-१२॥
Tāni asmābhiḥ gṛhītāni nihitāni ca rāghava । Ānayiṣyāmi aham tāni pratyabhijñātum arhasi ॥ ॥4-6-12॥
Translation
We collected them and kept them safe, O Raghava. I will bring them now; you should recognize (verify) them.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राघव! हमने उन वस्तुओं को उठा लिया था और सुरक्षित रख लिया था। मैं उन्हें अभी लेकर आता हूँ; आप उन्हें पहचानें (कि वे सीता के हैं या नहीं)।
English Commentary
This acts as the dramatic climax of Sugriva’s revelation. He moves from verbal testimony to physical evidence. The fact that the monkeys kept the items safe (nihitani) shows they understood the potential importance of the drop. Sugriva invites Rama to verify the items (pratyabhijnatum), setting up one of the most poignant scenes in the Ramayana where Rama reacts to seeing Sita's jewelry. This gesture seals the alliance; Sugriva is no longer just a potential ally in need of help, but the holder of the key to finding Sita.
