शाद्वलिन्याम् ध्रुवम् भूम्याम् सीतया ह्रियमाणया ।
उत्सृष्टम् भूषणाम् इदम् तथा रूपम् हि दृश्यते ॥ ॥४-६-२१॥
Śādvalinyām dhruvam bhūmyām sītayā hriyamāṇayā । Utsṛṣṭam bhūṣaṇām idam tathā rūpam hi dṛśyate ॥ ॥4-6-21॥
Translation
"Surely, while being carried away, Sita dropped these ornaments on grassy ground, for they appear exactly as they were (undamaged)."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"निश्चित ही, अपहरण के समय सीता ने इन आभूषणों को किसी घास वाले स्थान पर गिराया होगा, क्योंकि ये बिल्कुल वैसे ही (बिना टूटे-फूटे) दिखाई दे रहे हैं।"
English Commentary
Even in his grief, Rama's analytical mind is active. He deduces the circumstances of the drop based on the condition of the items. Since they are undamaged (tatha rupam - appearing the same way), he concludes they must have landed on shadvalinyam (grassy/soft) ground. This forensic observation shows Rama trying to visualize the exact moments of Sita's abduction, clinging to every detail to feel closer to her and understand what happened.

दुःख के अतिरेक में भी राम की निरीक्षण शक्ति क्षीण नहीं हुई है। वे एक जासूस की भांति आभूषणों का विश्लेषण करते हैं। वे तर्क करते हैं कि आभूषण टूटे नहीं हैं ('तथा रूपम् हि दृश्यते'), जिसका अर्थ है कि वे कठोर पत्थर पर नहीं, बल्कि 'शाद्वलिन्याम्' (हरी घास वाली) भूमि पर गिरे थे। यह श्लोक राम की सूक्ष्म दृष्टि को दर्शाता है। वे हर छोटी जानकारी से सीता की स्थिति और उस घटनाक्रम को समझने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं।
