क्व वा वसति तत् रक्षः महत् व्यसनदम् मम ।
यन् निमित्तम् अहम् सर्वान् नाशयिष्यामि राक्षसान् ॥ ॥४-६-२५॥
Kva vā vasati tat rakṣaḥ mahat vyasanadam mama ॥ Yan nimittam aham sarvān nāśayiṣyāmi rākṣasān ॥ ॥4-6-25॥
Translation
"Where does that Rakshasa live who has caused me this great sorrow? Because of him, I will destroy the entire race of Rakshasas."

"वह राक्षस कहाँ रहता है जिसने मुझे यह महान कष्ट दिया है? जिसके कारण अब मैं (क्रोधवश) समस्त राक्षसों का विनाश कर डालूँगा।"
English Commentary
Rama's grief transforms into righteous fury. He demands the location of the entity responsible for his mahat vyasanadam (great sorrow). The statement is sweeping: he vows to exterminate sarvan rakshasan (all Rakshasas), not just the abductor. This hyperbole underscores the intensity of his rage—he views the abduction not as a singular crime but as an act of war by the entire demon race, justifying total annihilation.

राम का शोक अब भीषण क्रोध में परिवर्तित हो चुका है। 'महत् व्यसनदम्' (महान दुःख देने वाला) वाक्यांश उनके दर्द की गहराई को बताता है। परन्तु राम केवल रो नहीं रहे, वे प्रतिशोध की प्रतिज्ञा कर रहे हैं। 'सर्वान् नाशयिष्यामि' (सबका नाश कर दूंगा) यह दर्शाता है कि एक व्यक्ति (रावण) के पाप का दंड अब पूरी राक्षस जाति को भुगतना पड़ेगा। यह क्षत्रिय धर्म का उग्र रूप है, जहाँ अधर्म का समूल नाश करने का संकल्प लिया जाता है।
