रसातले वा वर्तन्तीम् वर्तन्तीम् वा नभः तले ।
अहम् आनीय दास्यामि तव भार्याम् अरिन्दम ॥ ॥४-६-६॥
Rasātale vā vartantīm vartantīm vā nabhaḥ tale । Aham ānīya dāsyāmi tava bhāryām arindama ॥ ॥4-6-6॥
Translation
Whether she is in Rasatala (the underworld) or in the sky, I will bring your wife and give her to you, O Tamer of Enemies.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे अरिंदम (शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाले)! चाहे वह रसातल (पाताल) में हो या आकाश में, मैं आपकी पत्नी को लाकर आपको सौंप दूँगा।
English Commentary
Sugriva uses hyperbole to express his determination. By citing the extremes of the cosmos—Rasatala (the lowest underworld) and Nabhastala (the highest sky)—he asserts that no hiding place is inaccessible to him. Addressing Rama as Arindama (Destroyer of Foes) is psychologically significant; even while Rama is grieving, Sugriva reminds him of his warrior nature and inherent power. This verse transitions the mood from sorrow to martial determination, signaling that the search mission will be exhaustive and relentless.

सुग्रीव यहाँ राम का उत्साह बढ़ा रहे हैं। 'रसातल' और 'नभ' का प्रयोग यह बताने के लिए है कि रावण सीता को ब्रह्मांड में कहीं भी छिपा ले, सुग्रीव की पहुँच से वह दूर नहीं हैं। सुग्रीव राम को 'अरिन्दम' (शत्रुओं को जीतने वाला) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, ताकि राम को उनके स्वयं के पराक्रम की याद दिलाई जा सके। यह एक मित्र का कर्तव्य है कि वह विपत्ति के समय दूसरे मित्र का आत्मबल बढ़ाए। सुग्रीव यहाँ अपनी वानर सेना की क्षमता और अपने संकल्प दोनों का परिचय दे रहे हैं।
