आदित्य रश्मि निर्दग्धौ पक्षौ पुनः उपस्थितौ ।
यौवने वर्तमानस्य मम आसीत् यः पराक्रमः ॥४-६३-११॥
āditya raśmi nirdagdhau pakṣau punaḥ upasthitau । yauvane vartamānasya mama āsīt yaḥ parākramaḥ ॥4-63-11॥
Translation
"The wings that were completely burnt by the sun's rays have appeared again. The prowess that I possessed while living in my youth (has returned)."

"सूर्य की रश्मियों (किरणों) से पूरी तरह जल चुके मेरे पंख पुनः उपस्थित (उग आए) हो गए हैं। (अब मुझमें वही) पराक्रम आ गया है जो यौवन काल में विद्यमान था।"
English Commentary
Sampati confirms the restoration of his physiology and his power. The wings, previously nirdagdhau (completely burnt) by the Aditya (Sun), are now punaḥ upasthitau (present again). More importantly, he mentions the return of his parākramaḥ (valor/strength) akin to when he was in his yauvane (youth). This rejuvenation is symbolic. It suggests that engaging in the service of the Divine (Rama) rejuvenates the devotee. For the discouraged Vanaras, seeing Sampati regain his youth is a tangible proof that obstacles can be overcome and lost glories recovered, motivating them to proceed to Lanka.

सम्पाती वानरों को अपनी स्थिति स्पष्ट कर रहे हैं। 'आदित्य रश्मि निर्दग्धौ'—सूर्य के ताप से जो पंख भस्म हो गए थे, वे पुनर्जीवित हो गए हैं। यह केवल शारीरिक अंग की प्राप्ति नहीं है, अपितु शक्ति की भी वापसी है। 'यौवने... पराक्रमः'—वे कहते हैं कि उन्हें अपनी जवानी का बल फिर से महसूस हो रहा है। यह वानरों के लिए एक शुभ संकेत है। यदि एक वृद्ध, जर्जर पक्षी का यौवन और बल 'राम-काज' (सीता की सुध देने) मात्र से लौट सकता है, तो वानरों को भी अपने अभियान में सफलता अवश्य मिलेगी। यह श्लोक निराशा के वातावरण को आशा और उत्साह में बदल देता है।
