स ताम् भुजाभ्याम् दीर्घाभ्याम् पर्यष्वजत मारुतः ।
मन्मथ आविष्ट सर्वान्गो गत आत्मा ताम् अनिन्दिताम् ॥४-६६-१५॥
sa tām bhujābhyām dīrghābhyām paryaṣvajata mārutaḥ |
manmatha āviṣṭa sarvāngo gata ātmā tām aninditām ॥4-66-15॥
Translation
Possessed entirely by the God of Love, the Wind God embraced that blameless lady with his long arms [in his invisible form].
हिंदी अनुवाद
कामदेव से सर्वांग व्याप्त होकर, वायु देव ने (निराकार रूप में ही) अपनी लंबी भुजाओं से उस अनिंदिता (दोषरहित सुंदरी) का आलिंगन किया।
English Commentary
This verse describes the divine embrace. Since Vayu is formless, this embrace is felt as a pervasive pressure or presence rather than a physical hold by a human-like body. The descriptor 'aninditam' (blameless) is crucial; it protects Anjana's character, clarifying that she was an innocent recipient of this divine advance. The act is portrayed as an overwhelming celestial event where the Wind God, driven by cosmic eros (Manmatha), envelops her.

यहाँ वायु देव द्वारा अंजना के आलिंगन का वर्णन है। वायु निराकार हैं, अतः यह स्पर्श भौतिक शरीर का नहीं, बल्कि वायु के दबाव और उपस्थिति का अनुभव है। 'अनिन्दिताम्' (जिसकी कोई निंदा न हो सके) शब्द का प्रयोग अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है; यह स्पष्ट करता है कि अंजना निर्दोष थीं और उन्होंने कोई अधर्म नहीं किया। यह आलिंगन एक तरफा दैवीय पहल थी। 'गत आत्मा' का अर्थ है कि वायु देव ने अपना आपा खो दिया था या वे पूरी तरह उनमें लीन हो गए थे।
