मनसा अस्मि गतो यत् त्वाम् परिष्वज्य यशस्विनि ।
वीर्यवान् बुद्धि संपन्नः पुत्रः तव भविष्यति ॥४-६६-१८॥
manasā asmi gato yat tvām pariṣvajya yaśasvini |
vīryavān buddhi saṃpannaḥ putraḥ tava bhaviṣyati ॥4-66-18॥
Translation
"O illustrious one, since I have entered you in thought while embracing you, a son possessed of valor and intellect shall be yours."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे यशस्विनी! चूँकि मैंने मन से (संकल्प मात्र से) तुम्हारा आलिंगन करके तुम्हारे (गर्भ में) प्रवेश किया है, इसलिए तुम्हें वीर्यवान और बुद्धि संपन्न पुत्र प्राप्त होगा।"
English Commentary
This verse elucidates the metaphysical nature of Hanuman's conception. Vayu clarifies that he approached her 'manasa' (via the mind/will). The transmission of life force occurred through divine resolve and spiritual embrace, not biological intercourse, thus preserving Anjana's chastity. Vayu prophesies the birth of a son who will be 'buddhi sampanna' (endowed with intellect) and valorous, foreshadowing Hanuman's unique status as the synthesis of strength and wisdom.

यह श्लोक हनुमान के जन्म के रहस्य को खोलता है। वायु देव स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह संयोग 'मनसा' (मन/संकल्प) द्वारा हुआ है। शारीरिक संपर्क के बिना, केवल दैवीय संकल्प और आलिंगन से तेज का संचार हुआ है। इससे अंजना का पातिव्रत्य सुरक्षित रहता है। वायु देव वरदान देते हैं कि इस संयोग से उत्पन्न पुत्र केवल बलवान ही नहीं, बल्कि 'बुद्धि संपन्न' भी होगा। यह हनुमान के भविष्य के व्यक्तित्व—बल और बुद्धि का संगम—की नींव रखता है।
