ततः त्वाम् निहतम् दृष्ट्वा वायुः गन्ध वहः स्वयम् ।
त्रैलोक्यम् भृश संक्रुद्धो न ववौ वै प्रभंजनः ॥ ॥४-६६-२५॥
Tataḥ tvām nihatam dṛṣṭvā vāyuḥ gandha vahaḥ svayam |
Trailokyam bhṛśa saṃkruddho na vavau vai prabhaṃjanaḥ ॥4-66-25॥
Translation
Then, seeing you struck down, the Wind God (Vayu), the carrier of fragrances, became fiercely angry and ceased to blow throughout the three worlds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, आपको आहत (मूर्छित) देखकर, गंध को वहन करने वाले स्वयं वायु देव अत्यंत क्रोधित हो गए और उन्होंने तीनों लोकों में बहना बंद कर दिया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the paternal love of the Wind God and the cosmic consequences of his anger. Seeing his son struck down, Vayu stopped moving. Since Vayu represents Prana (life breath), his cessation threatened the existence of all three worlds. This narrative serves to remind Hanuman of his high lineage—he is not just a monkey, but the son of a fundamental cosmic force. Jambavan emphasizes that the universe once stood still for Hanuman's sake, implying that his well-being is of cosmic importance and that the power of the wind is inherent within him.

यह श्लोक पिता के प्रेम और वायु देव के ब्रह्मांडीय महत्व को दर्शाता है। अपने पुत्र को अचेत देखकर वायु देव ने अपनी गति रोक दी। वायु प्राण है; उसके रुकते ही सृष्टि में हाहाकार मच गया। यह घटना यह दर्शाती है कि हनुमान जी साधारण वानर नहीं हैं, बल्कि साक्षात वायु तत्व के अंश हैं। जामवंत जी उन्हें यह याद दिला रहे हैं कि उनके पीछे स्वयं वायु देव की शक्ति खड़ी है। जब पिता (वायु) का क्रोध तीनों लोकों को संकट में डाल सकता है, तो उनका पुत्र (हनुमान) अपने शत्रुओं का क्या हाल करेगा, यह सोचने का विषय है।
