Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स इदानीम् अहम् वृद्धः परिहीन पराक्रमः ।
साम्प्रतम् कालम् अस्माकम् भवान् सर्व गुण अन्वितः ॥ ॥४-६६-३४॥
Sa idānīm aham vṛddhaḥ parihīna parākramaḥ |
Sāmpratam kālam asmākam bhavān sarva guṇa anvitaḥ ॥4-66-34॥
Translation
That same 'I' am now old, and my valor has diminished. At this present time, you are the one among us endowed with all virtues and capabilities.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वही मैं अब बूढ़ा हो गया हूँ और मेरा पराक्रम क्षीण हो चुका है। वर्तमान समय में, हमारे बीच आप ही सर्वगुण संपन्न हैं।
English Commentary
This verse concludes Jambavan's persuasive speech. It is the formal passing of the torch. He contrasts his past glory with his current state—'Vriddhah' (old) and 'Parihina Parakramah' (devoid of valor). He declares that in the current crisis (Sampratam Kalam), Hanuman is the only one possessing 'Sarva Guna' (all necessary qualities: strength, speed, intelligence, and immortality). It is a definitive call to action, leaving Hanuman with the realization that he is the sole hope for the mission's success.

यह जामवंत के उपदेश का निष्कर्ष है। वे अतीत से वर्तमान में लौटते हैं। जो जामवंत कभी पृथ्वी की 21 परिक्रमा कर सकते थे, आज वे वृद्ध हैं। वे स्पष्ट रूप से कहते हैं—'अब समय आपका है'। 'सर्व गुण अन्वितः' (सभी गुणों से युक्त) कहकर वे हनुमान जी को 'परफेक्ट' योद्धा घोषित करते हैं। यह श्लोक एक मशाल (Torch) सौंपने जैसा है। जामवंत जी ने अपनी असमर्थता बताकर हनुमान जी के लिए 'ना' कहने का कोई विकल्प नहीं छोड़ा है। अब कार्य सिद्धि का पूरा भार हनुमान जी पर है।
