ततः कपीनाम् ऋषभेण चोदितः प्रतीत वेगः पवन आत्मजः कपिः ।
प्रहर्षयन् ताम् हरि वीर वाहिनीम् चकार रूपम् महत् आत्मनः तदा ॥ ॥४-६६-३८॥
Tataḥ kapīnām ṛṣabheṇa coditaḥ Pratīta vegaḥ pavana ātmajaḥ kapiḥ |
Praharṣayan tām hari vīra vāhinīm Cakāra rūpam mahat ātmanaḥ tadā ॥4-66-38॥
Translation
Then, urged by the bull (best) among monkeys (Jambavan), the son of the Wind God, of known speed, began to expand his form greatly, delighting that army of monkey heroes.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब वानरों में श्रेष्ठ जाम्बवान द्वारा इस प्रकार प्रेरित किये जाने पर, पवनपुत्र हनुमान, जिनका वेग प्रसिद्ध है, उस वानर सेना को हर्षित करते हुए अपने शरीर का आकार अत्यंत विशाल बनाने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse marks the transition from words to action. Motivated by the elder Jambavan, Hanuman begins his physical transformation. The expansion of his body (cakāra rūpam mahat) is the external manifestation of his internal resolve. The reaction of the army is immediate—sorrow turns to delight. It illustrates the psychological impact of a leader rising to the occasion; his mere preparation to act restores hope to the despondent community.

यहाँ से हनुमान जी का रूपांतरण शुरू होता है। जाम्बवान के वचनों ने चिंगारी का काम किया। हनुमान जी ने संकोच त्यागा और अपना 'विराट रूप' धारण करना शुरू किया। उनके आकार बढ़ने से निराश वानर सेना में हर्ष की लहर दौड़ गई। यह श्लोक दर्शाता है कि जब एक समर्थ व्यक्ति अपनी जिम्मेदारी स्वीकार करता है, तो उसके आसपास का पूरा वातावरण उत्साह और सकारात्मकता से भर जाता है। हनुमान जी का बढ़ता हुआ आकार उनके बढ़ते हुए आत्मविश्वास का प्रतीक है।
