उत्सहेयम् हि विस्तीर्णम् आलिखंतम् इव अंबरम् ।
मेरुम् गिरिम् असंगेन परिगंतुम् सहस्रशः ॥ ॥४-६७-११॥
Utsaheyam hi vistīrṇam ālikhantam iva ambaram |
Merum girim asaṅgena parigantum sahasraśaḥ ॥4-67-11॥
Translation
I have the capability to circle the vast Mount Meru, which seems to scrape the sky, a thousand times without any obstruction.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं आकाश को स्पर्श करने वाले विशाल सुमेरु पर्वत की, बिना किसी बाधा के (अनवरत), हजारों बार परिक्रमा करने का उत्साह (सामर्थ्य) रखता हूँ।
English Commentary
Hanuman uses hyperbole to contextualize the task at hand. Mount Meru is the axis mundi of Hindu cosmology, immense in height. To circle it a thousand times implies infinite stamina and speed. By contrasting this colossal feat with the current task, he minimizes the difficulty of crossing the 100-yojana ocean. He is telling the army that his energy reserves are vast enough to treat the world's highest peak like a mere playground pillar.

मेरु पर्वत को ब्रह्मांड की धुरी माना जाता है। उसकी परिक्रमा करना अत्यंत कठिन कार्य है। हनुमान जी कहते हैं कि वे एक बार नहीं, बल्कि 'सहस्रशः' (हजारों बार) उसकी परिक्रमा कर सकते हैं, वह भी 'असंगेन' (बिना रुके/बिना थके)। यह उनकी असीमित सहनशक्ति (stamina) और गति का प्रमाण है। वे वानरों को यह समझा रहे हैं कि १०० योजन का समुद्र तो मेरु की परिक्रमा के सामने बहुत छोटा लक्ष्य है।
