उदयात् प्रस्थितम् वा अपि ज्वलंतम् रश्मि मालिनम् ।
अन् अस्तमितम् आदित्यम् अभिगंतुम् समुत्सहे ॥ ॥४-६७-१५॥
Udayāt prasthitam vā api jvalantam raśmi mālinam |
An astamitam ādityam abhigantum samutsahe ॥4-67-15॥
Translation
I dare to reach the blazing Sun, adorned with garlands of rays, after it has risen from the eastern mountain and before it sets...
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं उदयाचल से निकले हुए, किरणों की माला धारण करने वाले, ज्वलंत सूर्य के अस्त होने से पहले ही उनके पास पहुँचकर (वापस आने का) साहस रखता हूँ।
English Commentary
This verse is a race against time and light. Hanuman claims he can catch up to the sun (Aditya) as it moves across the sky. Since the sun defines the day, Hanuman is effectively stating he is faster than the day itself. The epithet 'jvalantam' (blazing) implies that the intense heat and radiation of the sun are no deterrent to him. It reinforces his solar connection (as a student of the Sun God) and his mastery over celestial mechanics.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के बचपन की घटना की याद दिलाता है जब उन्होंने सूर्य को फल समझकर पकड़ने की कोशिश की थी। अब वे परिपक्व हैं, लेकिन वही आत्मविश्वास अभी भी है। सूर्य की गति पौराणिक कथाओं में अत्यंत तीव्र मानी गई है। हनुमान जी सूर्य के साथ दौड़ लगाने की बात कर रहे हैं। यह 'समय' (Time) के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा है। वे यह बता रहे हैं कि वे समय की गति को भी मात दे सकते हैं।
