उत्सहेयम् अतिक्रांतुम् सर्वान् आकाश गोचरान् ।
सागरम् शोषयिष्यामि दारयिष्यामि मेदिनीम् ॥ ॥४-६७-१७॥
Utsaheyam atikrāntum sarvān ākāśa gocarān |
Sāgaram śoṣayiṣyāmi dārayiṣyāmi medinīm ॥4-67-17॥
Translation
I have the power to overtake all beings that roam the sky. I can dry up the ocean and tear the earth apart.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं आकाश में विचरने वाले समस्त प्राणियों से आगे निकलने का उत्साह रखता हूँ। मैं सागर को सुखा सकता हूँ और पृथ्वी को विदीर्ण (फाड़) कर सकता हूँ।
English Commentary
Hanuman asserts total elemental dominance here. He claims superiority over all aerial beings (ākāśa gocarān). Furthermore, he threatens the very geography that stands in his way: drying the ocean and tearing the earth (medinīm). These are destructive capabilities usually reserved for cosmic events. By stating this, he frames the ocean not as an impassable barrier, but as something that exists only by his mercy/tolerance.

यहाँ तीन तत्वों पर विजय की घोषणा है: आकाश (वायु), जल और पृथ्वी। 'सागरम् शोषयिष्यामि' (सागर को सुखा दूंगा) कहकर वे बताते हैं कि यदि समुद्र ने रास्ता नहीं दिया या बाधा बनी, तो वे उसका अस्तित्व ही मिटा सकते हैं। यह वानरों के मन में समुद्र के प्रति जो भय था, उसे पूरी तरह समाप्त करने के लिए बोला गया वाक्य है। जब रक्षक इतना समर्थ हो, तो भय का कोई स्थान नहीं रहता।
