Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
पर्वतान् चूर्णष्यामि प्लवमानः प्लवंगमाः ।
हरिष्यामि ऊरु वेगेन प्लवमानो महाअर्णवम् ॥ ॥४-६७-१८॥
Parvatān cūrṇaṣyāmi plavamānaḥ plavaṃgamāḥ |
Hariṣyāmi ūru vegena plavamāno mahāarṇavām ॥4-67-18॥
Translation
O monkeys! While leaping, I shall crush mountains into dust; and while flying, I shall drag the great ocean along with the speed of my thighs.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे वानरों! आकाश में उड़ते हुए मैं पर्वतों को चूर्ण (चकनाचूर) कर दूंगा और अपनी जांघों के वेग से महासागर को भी अपने साथ हर ले जाऊंगा (उड़ा ले जाऊंगा)।
English Commentary
The imagery here is of physics-defying momentum. Hanuman suggests that his flight path will leave a wake of destruction for obstacles (crushing mountains) and a wake of displacement for the medium (dragging the ocean). The phrase 'hariṣyāmi... mahāarṇavam' implies that the vacuum or drag created by his thighs will pull the water upwards into the sky with him. It visualizes his flight not as a silent glide, but as a thunderous event changing the landscape.
हिंदी टीका
यह श्लोक 'सोनिक बूम' (sonic boom) जैसी घटना का प्राचीन वर्णन है। हनुमान जी कहते हैं कि उनकी गति से जो वायुदाब बनेगा, उससे रास्ते में आने वाले पर्वत टूट जाएंगे। और 'हरिष्यामि... महाअर्णवम्' का अर्थ है कि उनकी गति से पैदा हुआ खिंचाव (suction/drag) समुद्र के पानी को भी ऊपर खींच लेगा। यह दृश्य अत्यंत विस्मयकारी है—एक उड़ता हुआ वानर जिसके पीछे समुद्र का पानी खिंचा चला आ रहा है।
