दिवम् आवृत्य गच्छन्तम् ग्रसमानम् इव अंबरम् ।
विधमिष्यामि जीमूतान् कंपयिष्यामि पर्वतान् ।
सागरम् शोषयिष्यामि प्लवमानः समाहितः ॥ ॥४-६७-२२॥
Divam āvṛtya gacchantam grasamānam iva ambaram |
Vidhamiṣyāmi jīmūtān kaṃpayiṣyāmi parvatān |
Sāgaram śoṣayiṣyāmi plavamānaḥ samāhitaḥ ॥4-67-22॥
Translation
Covering the sky as I move, appearing as if swallowing the firmament, I shall scatter the clouds, shake the mountains, and dry up the ocean, leaping with full concentration.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आकाश को घेरकर चलते हुए, मानो अम्बर को निगलते हुए, मैं बादलों को तितर-बितर कर दूंगा, पर्वतों को कम्पित कर दूंगा और सागर को सुखा दूंगा—मैं पूर्ण एकाग्रचित्त होकर छलांग लगाऊंगा।
English Commentary
This verse paints a picture of total elemental disruption caused by Hanuman's wake. The imagery of "swallowing the sky" (grasamānam iva ambaram) suggests he will dominate the entire visual field. However, the key word is samāhitaḥ (fully concentrated/composed). Despite the chaos he creates—scattering clouds and shaking mountains—his internal state remains focused and calm. It is the perfect balance of external kinetic energy and internal stillness.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के 'समाहितः' (एकाग्रचित्त) होने का महत्व बताता है। इतनी प्रचंड शक्ति—बादलों को बिखेरना, पहाड़ों को हिलाना—तभी नियंत्रित रहती है जब मन एकाग्र हो। 'ग्रसमानम् इव अंबरम्' (आकाश को निगलते हुए) एक अद्भुत रूपक है, जो उनकी गति और विस्तार को दर्शाता है। वे प्रकृति के तीनों स्तरों (आकाश, पृथ्वी, जल) को प्रभावित करते हुए आगे बढ़ेंगे।
