Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
वैनतेयस्य वा शक्तिः मम वा मारुतस्य वा ।
ऋते सुपर्ण राजानम् मारुतम् वा महाबलम् ।
न तत् भूतम् प्रपश्यामि यत् माम् प्लुतम् अनुव्रजेत् ॥ ॥४-६७-२३॥
Vainateyasya vā śaktiḥ mama vā mārutasya vā |
Ṛte suparṇa rājānam mārutam vā mahābalam |
Na tat bhūtam prapaśyāmi yat mām plutam anuvrajet ॥4-67-23॥
Translation
The power (to fly like this) belongs either to Garuda, to me, or to the Wind God. Except for the King of Birds (Garuda) and the mighty Wind, I see no living being who can follow me in my flight.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(आकाश में उड़ने की) शक्ति या तो गरुड़ में है, या मुझमें, या वायुदेव में। पक्षीराज गरुड़ और महाबली वायु को छोड़कर, मैं किसी ऐसे प्राणी को नहीं देखता जो मेरी उड़ान का अनुसरण कर सके (मेरे पीछे आ सके)।
English Commentary
Hanuman establishes an exclusive hierarchy of speed. He places himself on the same pedestal as Vainateya (Garuda) and Maruta (Wind God). By stating that no other being can follow him (anuvrajet), he confirms that this mission is solitary because it requires singular capability. It effectively ends any debate about who should go; he is the only one physically qualified to traverse the sky at such velocity.

हनुमान जी यहाँ अपनी श्रेणी (league) निर्धारित कर रहे हैं। वे ब्रह्मांड के तीन सबसे तेज उड़ने वालों में स्वयं को रखते हैं: वायु, गरुड़ और स्वयं हनुमान। 'अनुव्रजेत्' का अर्थ है पीछे चलना या बराबरी करना। यह अहंकार नहीं, बल्कि अपनी क्षमता का यथार्थवादी आकलन (realistic assessment) है। वे वानरों को बता रहे हैं कि इस कार्य के लिए वे ही एकमात्र विकल्प हैं क्योंकि अन्य कोई इस गति को नहीं पा सकता।
