निमेष अन्तर मात्रेण निरालंबनम् अंबरम् ।
सहसा निपतिष्यामि घनात् विद्युत् इव उत्थिता ॥ ॥४-६७-२४॥
Nimeṣa antara mātreṇa nirālambanam ambaram |
Sahasā nipatiṣyāmi ghanāt vidyut iva utthitā ॥4-67-24॥
Translation
In the mere blinking of an eye, I shall reach the unsupported sky and descend suddenly just like lightning striking from a cloud.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पलक झपकने मात्र के समय (निमेष) में, मैं निरालंब (बिना सहारे के) आकाश में पहुँच जाऊंगा और वहाँ से सहसा उसी प्रकार उतरूंगा जैसे बादलों से बिजली कौंधती है।
English Commentary
The speed of Hanuman’s transition is emphasized here using the metaphor of lightning (vidyut). "Nimesha" indicates a split second. The phrase nirālambanam ambaram (unsupported sky) highlights the void he must cross. Comparing his descent to a lightning strike implies not just speed, but suddenness and shocking impact. He will strike Lanka before anyone realizes he has arrived.

यहाँ गति की तीव्रता का वर्णन है। 'निमेष' (पलक झपकना) समय की सबसे छोटी इकाई मानी जाती है। हनुमान जी कहते हैं कि वे आलंबन रहित (support-less) आकाश में गुरुत्वाकर्षण को चुनौती देते हुए बिजली की तरह चलेंगे। बिजली (विद्युत्) शक्ति, प्रकाश और गति का प्रतीक है। यह उपमा शत्रुओं के लिए चेतावनी भी है कि उनका आगमन विनाशकारी वज्रपात जैसा होगा।
