लंकाम् वा अपि समुत्क्षिप्य गच्छेयम् इति मे मतिः ।
तम् एवम् वानर श्रेष्ठम् गर्जन्तम् अमित प्रभम् ॥ ॥४-६७-२९॥
Laṅkām vā api samutkṣipya gaccheyam iti me matiḥ |
Tam evam vānara śreṣṭham garjantam amita prabham ॥4-67-29॥
Translation
I believe I can even uproot Lanka and carry it away. Thus, the best of monkeys, possessed of immeasurable radiance, roared...
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरा ऐसा मत (विश्वास) है कि मैं पूरी लंका नगरी को ही उखाड़कर (यहाँ) ला सकता हूँ। इस प्रकार अमित प्रभाव वाले, वानर-श्रेष्ठ हनुमान गर्जना कर रहे थे... (अगले श्लोक से निरंतरता)।
English Commentary
The ultimate contingency plan: if he cannot separate the target from the environment, he will bring the entire environment. Threatening to uproot and carry the city of Lanka shows he is thinking in terms of absolute results. He refuses to return empty-handed. The description amita prabham (immeasurable radiance) confirms that as he speaks these bold words, his aura matches his claims.

यह हनुमान जी का अंतिम और सबसे बड़ा दावा है। यदि सीता जी को ढूँढना मुश्किल हुआ, तो वे पूरी लंका नगरी को ही उखाड़कर राम जी के पास ले आएंगे। यह 'आउट ऑफ द बॉक्स' सोच है। वे समाधान (solution) को लेकर इतने प्रतिबद्ध हैं कि भूगोल बदलने को तैयार हैं। उनकी गर्जना (garjantam) उनके संकल्प की उद्घोषणा है।
