Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
संस्तूयमानो हनुमान् व्यवर्धत महाबलः ।
समाविद्ध्य च लांगूलम् हर्षात् बलम् उपेयिवान् ॥ ॥४-६७-४॥
Saṃstūyamāno hanumān vyavardhata mahābalaḥ |
Samāviddhya ca lāṅgūlam harṣāt balam upeyivān ॥4-67-4॥
Translation
Being praised by them, the mighty Hanuman grew even larger. Whirling his tail in joy, he attained even greater strength.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरों द्वारा स्तुति किए जाने पर महाबली हनुमान और अधिक बढ़ने लगे। प्रसन्नता के कारण अपनी पूंछ को फटकते हुए (घुमाते हुए) उन्होंने और अधिक बल प्राप्त किया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the reciprocal relationship between a leader and his supporters. As the monkeys praise him (saṃstūyamāno), Hanuman physically grows larger and stronger. The act of whirling his tail indicates high spirits and martial readiness. It suggests that strength is not just physical but also emotional; the joy (harṣāt) derived from the support of his kin directly translates into increased power (balam upeyivān).

यहाँ प्रशंसा और प्रदर्शन का एक सकारात्मक चक्र (feedback loop) दिख रहा है। वानरों की स्तुति से हनुमान जी का उत्साह बढ़ा, और उत्साह से उनका आकार और बल बढ़ा। पूंछ को फटकना (whirling the tail) एक योद्धा की युद्ध से पहले की तैयारी और आत्मविश्वास का सूचक है। यह हमें बताता है कि प्रोत्साहन (encouragement) में कितनी शक्ति होती है; यह सोई हुई क्षमताओं को कई गुना बढ़ा सकता है।
