महद्भिः उच्छ्रितम् शृन्गैः महेन्द्रम् स महाबलः ।
विचचार हरिश्रेष्ठो महेन्द्र साम विक्रमः ॥ ॥४-६७-४२॥
Mahadbhiḥ ucchritam śṛngaiḥ mahendram sa mahābalaḥ |
Vicacāra hariśreṣṭho mahendra sāma vikramaḥ ॥4-67-42॥
Translation
On that Mahendra mountain with its lofty peaks, the mighty Hanuman, best among monkeys, possessing prowess equal to Mahendra (Indra), began to roam.

ऊँचे-ऊँचे शिखरों वाले उस महेंद्र पर्वत पर, देवराज इंद्र (महेन्द्र) के समान पराक्रमी, महाबली और वानरों में श्रेष्ठ हनुमान जी विचरण करने लगे।
English Commentary
There is a poetic interplay here: Hanuman is on Mount 'Mahendra', and his valor rivals that of 'Mahendra' (Indra). He begins to roam (vicachara) to find the optimal footing for his launch. This is the final stage of his preparation. The term 'Mahabalah' indicates he is accessing his full potential. The imagery conveys a meeting of equals—a massive mountain and a warrior of colossal will—creating a scene of epic grandeur before the explosive action.

यहाँ एक सुंदर शब्द-क्रीड़ा (Wordplay) है—हनुमान जी 'महेंद्र' पर्वत पर हैं और उनका पराक्रम 'महेंद्र' (इंद्र) समान है। वे पर्वत पर 'विचचार' (घूमने लगे) ताकि छलांग के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त स्थान खोज सकें। यह उनकी तैयारी का अंतिम चरण है। 'महाबलः' शब्द का प्रयोग यह बताता है कि अब वे अपनी पूर्ण क्षमता में आ रहे हैं। एक विशाल पर्वत और उस पर उससे भी विशाल संकल्प वाला वीर—यह दृश्य अद्भुत है।
