बाहुभ्याम् पीडितः तेन महाशैलो महात्मना ।
ररास सिंह अभिहतो महान् मत्त इव द्विपः ॥ ॥४-६७-४३॥
Bāhubhyām pīḍitaḥ tena mahāśailo mahātmanā |
Rarāsa siṃha abhihato mahān matta iva dvipaḥ ॥4-67-43॥
Translation
Pressed by the arms (and feet) of that great soul, the massive mountain roared (groaned) like a huge, intoxicated elephant attacked by a lion.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महात्मा (हनुमान) द्वारा अपनी भुजाओं (और चरणों) से दबाया गया वह विशाल पर्वत इस प्रकार चिल्ला उठा (गड़गड़ाया), जैसे सिंह के आक्रमण से कोई विशाल मदमस्त हाथी चिंघाड़ता है।
English Commentary
This verse graphically illustrates the terrifying physical power of Hanuman. As he presses down to launch, the inanimate rocky mountain seems to 'cry out' or 'roar' like a living being. The simile is striking: Hanuman is the lion, and the mountain is the elephant. Just as an elephant groans under the grip of a lion, the mountain creaks and groans under the immense pressure applied by Hanuman. It vividly conveys the kinetic energy building up within him, turning the static rock into a suffering entity.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की शारीरिक शक्ति का भयानक प्रदर्शन है। जैसे ही वे छलांग के लिए दबाव बनाते हैं, पत्थर का निर्जीव पर्वत एक सजीव प्राणी की तरह 'रोने' या 'चिल्लाने' लगता है। उपमा अत्यंत सटीक है—हनुमान जी 'सिंह' हैं और पर्वत 'हाथी' है। जिस प्रकार शेर के पंजों की पकड़ से हाथी कराहता है, वैसे ही हनुमान जी के दबाव से पर्वत चरमरा रहा है। यह दृश्य बताता है कि हनुमान जी में कितनी अपार ऊर्जा संचित हो रही है।
